Shade of Clouds, Manna and Quails Tafseer – A Divine Blessing for Bani Israel
Bani Israel par Allah Ta’ala ke azeem inamaat mein se ek yeh bhi tha ke un par baadalon ka saya kiya gaya aur unhein “Mann aur Salwa” ata kiya gaya. Yeh waqia Qurani hikmat aur Allah ki rehmat ko bayan karta hai.
For authentic Qur’anic reference, you can read the verse here:
English Tafseer (Exact Meaning Preservation)
The Children of Israel committed various acts of disobedience and troubled their Prophets, yet Allah still granted them many blessings.
Among these blessings was that Allah shaded them with clouds and sent down Manna and Quails.
The story is that when the Children of Israel crossed the sea with the help of Allah and Pharaoh was drowned along with his army, Allah commanded them to enter a city.
According to some scholars, this city was Jerusalem (Bait-ul-Maqdis), while others say it was Antioch in Syria, where the Amalekites lived, who were very strong and huge in size.
But the Children of Israel said to Prophet Musa (Moses): “We will never fight them. You and your Lord go and fight; we will sit here.”
Because of this disobedience, Allah made it forbidden for them to leave that land for forty years.
They wandered in that desert for forty years.
It was a land where there was no food or drink available.
So Allah, through the blessing of Prophet Musa’s prayer, shaded them with clouds so they would not suffer from the sun.
And Allah provided them with food in the form of Manna and Quails from the sky.
Manna was a sweet substance that used to fall like dew on the ground, and people would collect and eat it.
Quails were small white birds that would come down and sit in front of them, and they would catch and eat them easily.
Allah says: We did not wrong them, but they used to wrong themselves.
Lesson of the Story
Yani unki na-farmani, nabi ko takleef dena aur hukam ki khilaf warzi unki apni tabahi ka sabab bani.
Conclusion
Yeh waqia humein yeh sabaq deta hai ke Allah ki naimatain hamesha insaan ke sath hoti hain, lekin na-farmani insaan ko khud nuqsan mein daal deti hai
