Ayat 130
And who would turn away from the religion of Ibrahim except one who has made a fool of himself? Indeed, We chose him in this world, and surely in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
Ayat 131
When his Lord said to him, “Submit yourself,” he said, “I have submitted myself to the Lord of the worlds.”

Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131
Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131

Following the Religion of Ibrahim (AS)
The previous verses discussed Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the building of the Ka’bah. Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131 now addresses the Jews, Christians, and the polytheists of Makkah who claimed to follow Ibrahim (AS).

Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131 teaches that turning away from the religion of Ibrahim (AS) is a sign of foolishness. Shirk has no sound proof or valid evidence. True wisdom is to recognize Allah as the only One worthy of worship.

Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131 also mention that Allah chose Ibrahim (AS) in this world. Allah selected him for a great mission: to convey His message and guide people toward the truth.
Being chosen by Allah for such a noble purpose is a great honor and a clear sign of his excellence. Ibrahim (AS) was among Allah’s chosen servants, and he will also be among the righteous in the Hereafter.
Complete Submission to Allah
In Surah Baqarah Ayat 130-131, Allah commanded Ibrahim (AS) to submit himself to Him. Ibrahim (AS) immediately responded that he had submitted himself to the Lord of all the worlds.
This submission means accepting Allah’s commands with the heart and obeying Him through one’s actions. It teaches Muslims that true Islam is not merely a claim but a complete commitment to Allah.
